It’s been four years since VH1 debuted the Hollywood edition of the ever popular Love and Hip Hop. The series took a different turn showcasing young Black artist that were relatively known. Most notably was former B2K member Omarion. The R&B star stepped in front of the cameras with his then wife Apryl Jones.
Viewers immediately fell in love with Apryl, as she and Omarion’s relationship seemed the most authentic. Apryl also shared with the world her mother’s long history of drug abuse. The story line made people fall even deeper for her. But unfortunately the seemingly perfect relationship eventually dismantled. Because of that Love and Hip Hop producers were no longer interested in Apryl.
Although Mona Scott was willing to bring Apryl back for season 2, Omarion turned it down. And without sharing her co-parenting situation with Omarion her life was a little bland for viewers.
So what exactly has Jones been doing? Where is she now?
With the new found time on her hands Apryl went back into the studio. Most fans didn’t know Jones had been pursuing a music career for years. She had several deals in the past but unfortunately they all fell through. So the talented Jones took her vocal skills to the back of the stage doing background vocals. She had been on tour with dozens of artist. But being behind the lights grew dim for Jones. Now she is working relentlessly on an upcoming EP.
The former reality star also became an entrepreneur with her own line of wines called Apryl Wines. Each bottle reasonably retails for $12-$25. Her signature A’mei La Vie, named after daughter A’mei Kazuko Grandberry, has it’s own hashtag on instagram.
