She also earned major bucks from a deal with Sony Music worth $2.5 million. The song is a definite contender for the 2014 Grammy Awards. Lorde says the song was inspired by a photo of a baseball player signing autographs with ‘Royals’ on his jersey. The song has made Lorde an international princess. Her debut album Pure Heroine is on it’s way to being Gold in the states with an overwhelmingly positive response from listeners and music critics.
