Rashidah Ali Worth $1.5 Million but Doesn’t Pay Bills
There is a lot to be said about Reality tv star Rashidah Ali. The red headed clown as described by former co-star Yandy Smith has a successful career but a terrible image among employees and so called friends. Although her hair looks like it’s been dyed with kool-aid packets she’s got a lot of paper and it’s more than you think.
Rashidah has been featured in countless reality shows because of her career as a stylist. She’s been featured on Keeping Up With the Kardashians after she gifted celebrity client Kim K with a $4,000 watch from her boutique B Chic. Rashidah later had her shop featured on an episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, one of the franchise’s highest rated episodes. The season 3 premiere of Housewives featured an iconic fight between stars NeNe Leakes and Dwight that got major publicity on every social media platform. A year later during season 2 of Basketball Wives Rashidah’s name was brought up in an altercation with Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada who claimed Rashidah was dissing Jennifer on twitter.
Ali continued climbing the reality show ladder when she was cast on season 3 Love & Hip Hop. She’s been close friends with Tahiry for years but known Erica Mena almost 10 years. She met Erica when she was doing a video for a Bad Boy artist. At the time Rashidah was interning for the label. Fast forward to 2014 Rashidah gets her own reality series produced by Shuanie O’Neal and Mona Scott Young following her wedding and relationship to her fiancee. VH1 is paying her $100k for the series which will have 8 episodes airing before the premiere of Love & Hip Hop ATL in April.
Ali’s fiancee is not famous but has a bank roll. Her fiance, now husband was been working in the music industry developing new artist for major labels including Def Jam, Sony and most recently EPIC records when CEO L.A. Reid was hired.
Rashidah Ali and her boo live in a $5 million 9,000 square foot home in Paramus, New Jersey. It’s 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms including a powder room next to the 800 square foot kitchen.
So all this sounds like Rashidah is making serious bread now, right? Well not exactly Rashidah has pushed a lot of buttons during her climb up the economic ladder. She’s been reported to by the Better Business Bureau by her own employees and assistants at her shop claiming she failed to pay them and had them working extra hours. She’s also been served a warrant by the IRS in 2011 and 2012 for unpaid taxes. There was a lien placed on her home in NJ. WOW!
